Description (last modified by )
Dear all,
I am coming from this conversation with one of your forum moderators who advised me to open this ticket.
Meanwhile, I found this closed ticket: #27970, and I am not sure whether I should open this ticket or rather respond to the closed ticket.
My apologies.
Basically, I would like to know whether anything has changed regarding adding support for uploading image media from pasted clipboard on the upload media dialogue window.
This is a very useful feature on sites like Github and I believe that WordPress could greatly benefit from it as well.
Yours,
Robert

To clarify a bit more, uploading an image from clipboard already seems to work in Gutenberg.
When I paste an image from a URL, it's just hotlinked from the original URL. When I paste a locally stored image though, it does create an upload in Media Library. Tested in Opera 56, Windows 10.
Hello! Thank you for submitting your first ticket here. This is a great suggestion that actually made its way into the new editor introduced in WordPress 5.0. I will be closing this ticket as the functionality now exists. Thanks again for submitting!
