Hi,
When I'm trying to edit links with visual editor on any chromium-based browser (Opera, Vivaldi and Google Chrome), the editor doesn't respond at all

But at the same time the link editor works perfectly on Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox

@3liwa Thanks for the bug report. This seems similar to the bug fixed in #40558. What version of Chrome are you using to test? Also, what language are you editing in?

OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
Wordpress Version: 4.8.2
Tested browsers:

  • Vivaldi 1.12.955.38
  • Opera 48.0.2685.35
  • Google Chrome 61.0.3163.100

Language: Arabic

@3liwa Thanks for the details. I was not able to reproduce the exact issue you noted, however I do see that the placement of the tooltip is incorrect, it should be directly over or below the linked item, instead its way off, perhaps this is related and I'll try to fix this first.
