Description
I wish that WP 5.5 has the following features:
- Emoji is lifeline nowadays. We use emoji in regular conversation.
- It would be great, in WordPress while writing a post there is an option of adding emoji in our text content.
- Currently, I am using a plugin called "Emoji Conbini" for the same. This plugin add a block between "change text alignment" and "Bold Cntl+B" blocks.

On a Mac the emoji picker is accessed with ^⌘space
, on Android and iOS it's built in to the keyboard, and on Linux it's in the context menu for text inputs.
While there can be value in making the use of emoji and other characters more discoverable (applications such as Twitter and Slack do this with a dedicated emoji button) this is not something that the editor team is currently considering. See https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/1678 for the discussion and links to various plugins that provide this functionality.

If you're using Windows 10, then the WIN+Period or WIN+Semicolon will open the emoji picker pretty much anywhere, and this includes in WordPress when you're just typing along.
The standard paragraph block (and all other text entry fields) support the standard emoji just fine, so there's not a lot of need for a specialized block for it.
