This may involve switching the 'Post Author' block to the new 'Post Author Name' block, available in the Gutenberg plugin but not yet core (see GB35596).

Hi
Because Twenty Twenty-Two has a minimum required WordPress version of 5.9, it can not be updated to use the post author name block. It would cause an error (a block validation error) in the editor for users on version of WordPress that does not have that block.
Because of that, I am closing this ticket as wontfix.
Users on newer versions of WordPress can edit the template in the Site Editor and change the blocks and add the link that way.
