Description
The Block Editor can help create engaging term descriptions.
Enabling the Block Editor for term description seems like the natural thing to do as WordPress transitions to the new interface. Yet I couldn't find an indication that this is planned or discussed.

I would like to make the same suggestion. Currently, when indexed by Google, archive pages are often rejected as duplicate pages, so I’d like to add content to term descriptions to help differentiate them. However, since only text can be output, it’s difficult to make these pages unique. As a blog creation tool, it would be ideal if archive pages could also be indexed as important pages, so I strongly hope the term descriptions can support the Block Editor.

Hi @sabernhardt - thanks you for marking my #62649 as a duplicate
I have been following for some longer time the discussion regarding Gutenberg support for categories and tags https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/17099 where you can find many good reasons to make this feature a priority.
Now I see this ticket is already 14 months old yet still there isn't any concrete discussion or progress.
What's the decision-making process to have that feature considered as a priority in the upcoming WordPress development? Who would need to be approached for taking this further?
I suppose there is some sort of WordPress committee or dev team who decides on such projects?
Thanks much for your kind feedback!
