Description

I have enabled threaded comments on my wordpress. Someone recently "replied to" a comment when it should be a brand new comment. I searched as best I could (but suspect that I may need to know the answer before asking the question in a search of the documentation). I asked in the WP forum (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-move-comment-that-was-nested-in-error/) how to modify the comment parent within the WP-admin area WITHOUT using a plugin.

Alas, it appears that the only way to achieve this is to go directly into the database and edit the wp_comments table. This solution may be okay for anyone who isn't afraid to go into the database, but isn't ideal for many WP users.

There are plugins that have been created, but at least two of them are no longer being updated. Therefore, for future WP updates, can this aspect of comment editing be made available in the WP-admin area?
