Enable creation of a horizontal separator menu item in the Customiser

Description
When creating a website menu, I would like to be able to add a horizontal separator which is currently not possible. There are only pages, posts, etc. to choose from, not special items like a separator or disabled item.
There may be other standard non-selectable items that could be added to the list of special items which can be added.

New features aren't being worked on in the Customizer. We're only fixing bugs. Development is focused on the Site Editor.
Your feature idea is a good idea for a plugin though!
