Hi @akshaykungiri,

WordPress is working towards removing target=_blank from links in the admin as it allows users to decide whether they want the link to open in a new tab or the same tab. There are some accessibility and usability with sites (in this case the WordPress dashboard) making the decision for users.

There's a few tickets to remove such links, #23432 being a long running example of such a discussion.

I'm going to close this ticket as wontfix, which is trac's term to indicate something isn't planned.
