#27316 new enhancement

Add search for favourite plugins

Description

Many magicians (and me) have a lot of favorite plugins on wordpress.org.
So this is the enhancement in order to have the search feature in favorite plugins too.

Actually it's a workaround on the plugins_api, if there were the 's' (search) argument.. it would be better.

But that's it and it works.

  • Keywords has-patch added
  • Summary changed from search in favorite plugins to Add search for favourite plugins
  • Version changed from 3.8 to trunk

After doing some testing and using the patch in 4.3 beta 2 it all appears to work. The only thing is that it could use to have its own search button.

  • Milestone changed from Awaiting Review to Future Release
  • Version changed from trunk to 3.8

Replying to Stagger Lee:
No, because we're already in beta (project schedule) and this is an enhancement.

OK, thanks. Just to know.

I had believe one ticket long time ago and will repeat here what I wrote there.
It can seem as naive feature request but it is not. As soon you have bit more favorites it goes much, much, much faster to find a plugin with standard search option in backend, than to check all favorite list and find that plugin.

In other words you can remove favorites completely as it is now. It has no useful function at all.
I know you wont do it, just saying to make a point how limited it is.
