Yes so today at my company someone asked me how we can have 2 authors for a blog post we were writing. I did some research and found that there is no way to do this in the default way WordPress is set up. Now there is a plugin out there but you need to know how to code into your theme and although this might work for some people that know what they're doing, there're others out there that don't know how to do this.

With the way news is growing it's now very common for more then one person to be working on a story or post. I would love to see if we can add in this feature as something default for WordPress. It would be great for anybody that uses WordPress to be able to set multiple authors to a post.

Hi @bseekins, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the ticket.

Just adding links to previous discussions here: #3419, #7650, #23440.

As #7650 is essentially the same suggestion and already has some comments, I think it's better to keep the discussion in one place. It's currently closed as maybelater, but if there's consensus that it should be reconsidered, the ticket can be reopened. Let's continue there?
