  • Keywords 2nd-opinion close added; has-patch removed
  • Severity changed from normal to minor
  • Summary changed from Twenty Sixteen Pullquote has issue with font-size to Twenty Sixteen: Pullquote ignores font-size settings
  • Version changed from 6.2.2 to 5.9

The patch would change the default font size for Pullquote blocks, Quote blocks and blockquote elements that were added without the block editor.

The editor did not include the font size control until WordPress 5.9 (January 2022), and it never worked in the editor or on the front for Twenty Sixteen.

According to the proposal to retire older themes, this theme might not receive any more bug fixes soon. While it could be annoying for anyone who wants to change the text size for these blocks and only gets a difference in margins, I do not recommend trying to add support for the block setting with Twenty Sixteen (only).
